Po-Wen Chen

Po-Wen ChenMr. Po-Wen Chen was born on July 15, 1937 in Hubei Valley, Dalin town in JiaYi County. He became a political prisoner when he was 19 years old, and served three sentences for a total of ten years. He was a victim of the tumultuous reign of "White Terror" in Taiwan when many young, educated people were arrested for just about any reason, fabricated or non-existent.

After the government became more relaxed and he became a free man, Mr. Chen entered the political arena, supporting candidates for freedom and democracy. In Taiwan, he became a well-known leader in political circles. He was a minister of the political campaign office in Taichung, Taiwan.

He recently retired and moved to Orlando, FL, where he met Tony Coolidge of the ATAYAL organization. He is dedicated to providing assistance as an advisor, giving the organization a valuable resource to reaching people in Taiwan who can make a difference.
