![]() A traditional pingpu dwelling. Eric showed us what he said was one of only two traditional dwellings left in Taiwan that were a part of the pingpu culture. The pingpu culture belong to a people who have lost their cultural distinctiveness with many generations of mixing with other cultures. because they lived in the flatlands and along the coasts, they were in areas desired by settlers from other countries. As a result, they took on more of these cultures and lost touch with most of their own.
