On January 22nd, we spent the afternoon having lunch in a modern, newly developed area of downtown Taipei. We met with our friend, Peggy Pi, who worked for the United Daily News and discussed fundraising possibilities in Taiwan.

As we left the shopping center, New York, New York, I looked up to view the impressive building under construction. To me, this building symbolized the future Taiwan was striving to achieve.
