We had been corresponding with Steven Crook for several months after he found the ATAYAL.org web site. He is a native of England who now lives and works in Taiwan as a freelance writer for magazines and newspapers. He is also an author of "Keeping Up With The War God," a book about his experiences in Taiwan.

Steven knew of our arrival and we looked forward to meeting each other. While we were in Tainan, Steven visited us with his wife, Irene Wang, and we spent a few pleasant hours together. We discussed life in Taiwan, and the mission of ATAYAL. He provided advice on how to approach the Taiwan media, and offered to write an article on our progress in Taiwan. We hope to continue a long-term relationship as an important contact in Taiwan.
